We have really enjoyed our stay here at the Fort McAllister Historic State Park in Richmond Hills, Georgia. The state park provided us with a base camp within thirty miles of Savannah while we visited the Historic District and Riverfront there. Savannah has now become another one of our most favorite places to visit.
Spring weather has finally arrived to the Chicago area, so it is time to head home. We departed Fort McAllister State Park at 1:50 p.m. and arrived at a Walmart on I-75 (Exit 336) at 9:00 p.m. This will be our home for tonight.
