Visitor Center
Torrey, Utah
What timing to visit Utah! Another gorgeous day awaits us; sunny, warm, with temperatures in the mid-seventies.
We visited the visitor center at the intersection of Utah Scenic Byway 12 and Utah highway 24. The visitor center has free WiFi inside and outside the building. There are tables and chairs inside, with electrical outlets, to plug in your laptop, tablet or smartphone. It is a large spacious place with a lot of information on the surrounding area. The visitor center staff are very friendly and informative on things to do, places to visit and where to camp. We had a very delightful visit there.
We had a late lunch at the Red Cliff Restaurant in Torrey. This is a nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. I had a double bacon cheeseburger and Sharon had a jalapeno burger. The burgers were excellent. Both sandwiches came with some of the best frenchfries we have ever tasted. The fries were seasoned in a beer batter. They were absolutely delicious, crunchy… and did I say they were delicious!
We returned to our campsite, well-fed, and with leftovers for tomorrow.
Tomorrow another adventure begins.
